Cal Fire emphasizes the management and protection of California’s natural resources; a goal that is accomplished through ongoing assessment and study of the State’s natural resources and an extensive CAL FIRE Resource Management Program. 

Clarity Movement Co. transforms how governments and businesses understand and respond to air pollution. Our air quality monitoring solution supplements existing regulatory monitors with networks of continuously-calibrated air quality sensors

— providing real-time air quality data at a higher resolution and making air quality management more accessible, cost-effective, and actionable than ever before.

Communities for a Better Environment builds people’s power in California’s 

communities of color and low-income communities to achieve environmental health and justice by preventing and reducing pollution and building green, healthy, and sustainable communities and environments.

Environmental Health Investigations Branch, California Department of Public Health (EHIB) studies and explains how the health of our environment affects our health. We provide information that can help reduce human exposure to harmful environmental risks. Our mission is to protect the health of all Californians by identifying environmental hazards, partnering with communities to build their capacity, and promoting healthy environments.

Environmental Health Laboratory Branch, California Department of Public Health (EHLB) is responsible for analyzing environmental and biological samples for the presence and quantities of toxic substances. These include lead, air pollutants, pesticides, asbestos, and biological contaminants such as molds. 

Higher Ground Neighborhood Development Corp. provides services that 

address the intellectual development of children through workforce development, behavioral health treatment, after-school enrichment, professional development, service-learning projects, and school/community-based service coordination for youth and the organizations that serve them in the school and community setting.

Sequoia Foundation is a non-profit environmental and public 

health organization committed to solving environmental and climate change issues by partnering with those communities disproportionately impacted.  Our projects range from assessing the effects of toxins in everyday products, to researching emerging health impacts, and facilitating partnerships between communities and environmental leaders to reduce negative health impacts.m
